Getting Serious

hey to all my ‘ole friends~

I have been absent awhile! I am finally taking the bull by the horns. I just signed up for my free assessment at the gym with a trainer to set up a routine for me. I am going to go to the gym in the mornings before work- now the kids are out for summer. Back in sept of 07 I managed to lose 30 lbs by dec of 2007 eating healthy doing Turbo Jam  and Hip Hop abs, biking and eating clean. I got from a 16 to a 12 in jeans was awesome. From 201  to 171.8. I guess I got comfortable there and stopped doing the exercise and started slacking on the eating well. I have gained all but 6 lbs back of the 30 I lost. When I lost the weight I was able to stop taking my blood pressure meds and avoided have to take diabetic meds. I am fearing if I do not start losing this weight again that I will end up on meds again.  So I am getting back in my go mode- I was so happy with myself when I lost 30 lbs. It was the best feeling buying 12’s. I had people telling me how great I looked etc. So I am brushing myself off and going to stop whining and feeling bad and depressed and take myself back!

Valium got the teeth out!

I don’t know if you guys remember about a month ago - I had a post here on how - I was to get 2 teeth pulled and they could not numb me enough! Well I went back for the 2nd try yesterday. I took the Valium like they recommended and it worked great! It took 1 1/2 hours to get them out tho! Those teeth just did not want to come out! The 2nd one was real tough and kinda hurt - but I made it through. So I am going to rest this weekend and start fresh Monday! Thanks for all the support I really appreciate it! I am a big baby when it comes to the dentist.

 DAY 7 WAS REST DAY! WHEW!

Day 8 was Monday

P90 sculpt 3/4 plus * 30 mins on bike and elliptical at the gym

Breakfast: 2 egg whites one pc turkey bacon- whole wheat lite english muffin
Snack: P90X protein bar
Lunch: cottage cheese and 4 strawberries
snack: small banana light yogurt
Dinner: roasted Turkey and green beans

DAY 9 (Tuesday )

P90 sweat 3/4

Breakfast- plain cheerios sliced banana 2% milk
Snack: p90x protein bar
Lunch: whole wheat wrap 1 egg 2 pc of turkey bacon
Snack 1/4 cup cottage cheese 3 lrg strawberries
Dinner: Turkey in a garden salad lite dressing

Fitness P90 sculpt 1/2- 30 min walk at lunch 2.25 miles (289 calories)

Breakfast: protein shake, with strawberries, soy protein, 2 % milk and flax seed
Snack: yogurt with 1 tsp wheat germ
Lunch: chicken breast w/lettuce tomato in wheat wrap
Snack P90X berry bar
Dinner: TBD

P90 1-2 sculpt- gym ½ hour elliptical ½ bike

Breakfast: 2 pc of turkey bacon 2 egg whites

Dinner: Left over chicken and some broccoli

Fitness: P90 Sweat 1-2, lunch time walk ½ hour

Breakfast: Oatmeal
Snack: 12 almonds
Lunch: chicken breast, broccoli & some salad (rep lunch today)
Snack: cottage cheese w/ tomato slices
Dinner: turkey breast (low salt) lunch meat 2 slices of whole wheat wonder light bread and 1 slice of turkey bacon

this workout was ok- but yet I still don’t feel like I am getting enough out the workout- so I will start 3-4 on Wed. I need more intensity to keep my interest. I am guessing cause I did the X for a month I am expecting more- but yet I thought the X was to much for me? Hmmm we will see how it goes. I will be back later tonight to post my food and my 2nd workout-

day 1 on P90

ok here is my report for day 1

I got up bright and early and did  sculpt 1-2 only 139 calories (was a  little easy tho will be doing 3-4 asap
missed my lunchtime walk it was raining to hard - I was mad   :mad:
Went to gym burned 538 calories tonight! yehaw! I stepped it up and but bike and elliptical on more challenging  resistances to make it harder and it sure was!

Food:

Breakfast:4 egg whites and 1/2 cup spinach some feta cheese
Snack: p90x berry bar
Lunch: 3 oz salmon and spinach 10 almonds
Snack: 3 pcs of low fat turkey breast rolled up with laughing cow light cheese
P90x bar
Dinner- salad w/turkey breast in it with balsamic /vinegar

lots of water- no coffee today!

Breakfast:Protein Shake- soy protein, tbsp of flaxseed, 4 strawberries , 80z of 2% milk, 4 oz OJ.
Snack: P90X bar
Lunch: Turkey Burger 4 brussel sprouts, 1/4 cup broccoli, 1/4 cup cauliflower
Snack: 3 hard boiled eggs (whites only) 1/4 cup non fat cottage cheese
Dinner: salad -lite dressing w/ Turkey breast cut up in it.

Fitness: Plyo in am
Lunchtime walk 30 mins(i stepped it up today) 298 calories oh yeah!
Tonight: 30 mins (2 miles) on elliptical 30 mins on bike - 12 miles tonight! made it one more mile!

yes I am tired!
