day 1 on P90

ok here is my report for day 1

I got up bright and early and did  sculpt 1-2 only 139 calories (was a  little easy tho will be doing 3-4 asap
missed my lunchtime walk it was raining to hard - I was mad   :mad:
Went to gym burned 538 calories tonight! yehaw! I stepped it up and but bike and elliptical on more challenging  resistances to make it harder and it sure was!

Food:

Breakfast:4 egg whites and 1/2 cup spinach some feta cheese
Snack: p90x berry bar
Lunch: 3 oz salmon and spinach 10 almonds
Snack: 3 pcs of low fat turkey breast rolled up with laughing cow light cheese
P90x bar
Dinner- salad w/turkey breast in it with balsamic /vinegar

lots of water- no coffee today!

Breakfast:Protein Shake- soy protein, tbsp of flaxseed, 4 strawberries , 80z of 2% milk, 4 oz OJ.
Snack: P90X bar
Lunch: Turkey Burger 4 brussel sprouts, 1/4 cup broccoli, 1/4 cup cauliflower
Snack: 3 hard boiled eggs (whites only) 1/4 cup non fat cottage cheese
Dinner: salad -lite dressing w/ Turkey breast cut up in it.

Fitness: Plyo in am
Lunchtime walk 30 mins(i stepped it up today) 298 calories oh yeah!
Tonight: 30 mins (2 miles) on elliptical 30 mins on bike - 12 miles tonight! made it one more mile!

Snack: Danon light yogurt w/ tbsp of flax seed
Lunch: 2 oz chicken breast in a salad w/ few walnuts and feta cheese
Snack: P90x protein Bar
Dinner: Salmon w/soy beans with just a little “I cant believe its no butter”
Water & green tea

Fitness:
Went to gym tonight rode the elliptical for 30 mins and did 11 miles on bike (30 mins)  And TJ Cardio Party 2 in am

Tuesday:

 Breakfast: 4 egg whites -spinach- wedge of laughing cow light cheese and a banana
Snack: P90 Protein Bar
Lunch: turkey breast with lima and soy beans
Snack : Yogurt with Flax seed
Dinner: low fat turkey, lettuce, tomatoes on a whole wheat shortie roll from wawa (we had no power couldn’t cook) no power :(

getting me to 100%

I love my Turbo Jam workouts as well as my P90X.
Cardio Party 2 is my favorite. I like them all but I really love the boxing aspect of all the TJ workouts. I use my TJ for my cardio along with rotations of Hip Hop Abs. I have been making it to the gym with the girls from work 3 times a week and every other Sunday. I usually do half an hour on bike and half hour on the elliptical. This gym is new to all of us- we got a corporate rate because we signed up through work. With our sign up we get 2 free sessions with a personal trainer. I have yet to do that-but want to do it soon- so I can get some weights incorporated into my work out routine. I cant wait for the weather to get better so I can get back out on my mountain bike and ride! I was up too 18 miles about every 3 days- took about 2 hours - but I loved it- just me and my ipod and the great outdoors. Too funny tho - my neighbors joke with me-because I ride most of the 18 miles right in my neighborhood so I have to do laps around the outside of the 3 blocks twice for one mile. So to say the least I go around and around a lot! I recently purchased the eating clean book- to help me with my eating clean! I need to get my self back into my 100% serious zone- I am like at 85% now.

Anyone have valium with dental work?

OK-so as most of you know I had the root canal on Monday- no problem sailed through it. Was my first and before it I was a nervous wreck even cried right before at the dentist (how embarrassing) So today I was to have 2 teeth pulled off the top- that are broken- one real close to the gum. OK so I am a little nervous but I am think - I made it through a root canal so I am good- made it through that so I can breeze through this one. I have had teeth pulled before- and was not a problem they give you a shot or two - pull your teeth.

Well not quite how it went down today! wow- was I traumatized(embarrassed) today. I go in- they rub the stuff on my gums- start giving me the shots right away- wow did the roof of my mouth hurt- but just for a second. Then he waits a minute or two and starts prying around in there only to discover my one tooth still hurts. So ok- we wait a few more minutes. Try again- one tooth still hurts- he tells me if I don’t stop moving- he can’t do this(well it **** hurt) So he gives me more shots- we try again- nope still hurt- then he says ok we are gonna try this other kind of meds- 1 more shot- ok at this point I can’t feel these shots.  So by this point I am crying because I feel like a big baby cause it still hurts and I am apologizing up a storm. They are telling this happens sometimes especially if there is an infection. And the infection sucks up the meds they give you to kill the pain. However when he went back to that certain spot hurt real bad. So we can’t pull the teeth cause he thinks I must have an infection in that one tooth- that is why he can’t get it numb. So this dentist is only in the office once a month- he flys in from Chicago. So I have a  appt on April 12 to try again- but he wants me take a valium 5mg the night before and then 1 hour before. He knows it is going to be hard to get these teeth out- he says there will be a lot of pressure and they way my teeth are decayed and broken he is going to have to drill up through the middle of them to split them to get them out. So he is thinking  maybe the Valium will help keep me relaxed. However I don’t like taking any medications- not even advil if I don’t have too - so I m not sure If  I am having more *ANXIETY* over taking the meds or having the teeth pulled out. So the end to a really long post is has anyone else had valium before a dental procedure?

My day of eating clean!

I did my p90x tonight because my tooth was too sore this morning from the root canal. Boy is this workout a challenge but I  love it - sweating  halfway through - but full of energy when done!

Food:  spinach, egg white omelet

Snack : p90x protein bar

Lunch - Lean cuisine

Snack: sugar free yogurt

Dinner: Turkey breast and broccoli , salad w/ lite dressing

total 12 cups water today 2 cups green tea! I am floating!

Taking a rest day to deal with root canal YIKES :(

I am having a root canal today~ could not sleep last night being worried~ I am so tired now! what  was I thinking googling root canal all night. I t will be what it is ~ because I have been putting this off for almost 3 years- time to be brave and forge onward! I am all about making a better me and having healthy teeth is part of that pain or no pain.

New computer bike at the gym!

Me and mark went to gym bright and early this morning (7 am) I did the elliptical for  30 mins while Mark watched me lol.

but then we checked out these bikes they have- wow are they cool. the have handle bars with the heart rate monitors built in and you actually drive the bike like it was an arcade game- you pick your trail and they have several for each level- there is a big flat screen in front of you and it shows the trail with other bikers - who pass you etc when you go up the big hills and curves it is so hard I could barley pedal at times- then when you are on a flat surface or going down a hill it is real easy so you are pedaling  like mad! I did 5 miles and my shirt was soaked when I crawled off that bike! Was awesome tho- will back for more!

TRYING NOT TO OVER EAT~

1. Wait. When you decide you’re hungry, make yourself wait at least 15 minutes before you eat. This will help you determine whether your hunger is habitual or your body is craving nutrients.

2. Drink. A tall glass of water 30 minutes prior to a meal will reduce your tendency to overeat.

3. Exercise. The perfect scenario is to have a glass of water followed by some exercise, like a walk, a jog, or some stretching. This will take your mind off of food, and you’ll be far more likely to only crave the foods your body needs.

Today’s workout: Cardio X in the am

2.25 mile walk at lunchtime 285 calories yehaw!

no gym to night had to go to dentist :(

snack: 8 oz of cottage cheese

Dinner: chicken breast & peas and carrots

so I went to dentist tonight- yuck hate them dont go - but got brave and went. OH MY GOODNESS! I have a root canal scheduled for Monday and 2 teeth to be pulled on Friday!  yikes!  I will be ok  I think
